The Brandywine River Museums is opening its doors again for the Brandywine Christmas exhibition. Starting November 25th till January 8th take the kids, grandparents and neighbors to see this Christmas spectacular.
With trains, art, beautiful holiday decorations and family fun you can leave the stress at home. All season long this museum will have special programs offered. Try some events such as the “Polar Express Read-Aloud Pajama Party on December 1, or the “Breakfast with Trains” event where you will get a behind the scenes look at the 2,000 feet train display while having a nice hot breakfast.
As soon as you step foot in the museum you will walk into a winter wonderland. Stop by the three story atrium to see the fully decorated tree that extends to the ceiling. The tree is decorated with handcrafted ornaments and decorations made by the hard working museum volunteers. Along with the beautiful tree there will be a special exhibit of antique dolls. These dolls are dressed in period clothing and are extremely rare.
The kids will be anxious to see the whimsical critters. Get the behind the scenes details with the All Things Critter tour. It is only offered one day during the whole program so, don’t miss the action. On December 1 at 11am, 2pm and 7pm a tour guide will lead you through the critter display explaining how they were made and what makes them so special.
